House of Neighborly Service

House of Neighborly Service provides opportunities which encourage, educate, and empower the families of our Westside community.

For over 100 years, House of Neighborly Service has been committed to serving San Antonio’s Westside with Dignity, Accompaniment, and Respect. Rooted in our long history as a 1917 neighborhood mission, we now support thousands of children, families, and seniors each year through programs that strengthen well-being and expand access to essential resources.

Who We Are

We are a community organization dedicated to:

• Supporting children and families through play therapy, parent education, and social-emotional services.
• Providing high-quality early childhood education through our 4-Star Texas Rising Star child development center.
• Promoting healthy aging by offering nutrition, wellness support, and home-delivered meals for seniors 60+ on the Westside.
• Ensuring access to essentials through our food pantry, seasonal drives, and community resource support.
