    The Center for Urban Research (CUR), located at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York, organizes basic research on the critical issues facing New York and other large cities in the U.S. and abroad, collaborates on applied research and information dissemination with public agencies, nonprofit organizations, foundations, the media, and other partners, and holds events to foster public understanding and discussion of urban issues and urban research. It works closely with graduate students and faculty at the Graduate Center to carry out these activities.
