About Us

Created in 1992, Human Rights Watch’s Arms Division works to ban or regulate weapons of humanitarian concern and to promote compliance with international humanitarian law by all combatants during armed conflict. Currently, the Arms Division focuses on the Mine Ban Treaty, the Convention on Cluster Munitions, the Campaign to Ban Killer Robots, and the International Network on Explosive Weapons.
