The Intersection is a multi-year leadership development program that engages high school students outside of school. We transform students from underserved areas into leaders with the skills to go to and through college, to engage in civic action, and to articulate and solve challenges facing themselves and their communities.
The Intersection provides students with two years of leadership formation, advocacy and community organizing training, academic counseling, emotional and social support, and ongoing college and career advising. It is our aim to accompany every student with individualized academic and personal growth plans so they are equipped to attend and complete college, identify career goals, and serve as leaders in their communities. The Intersection has primarily worked with low-income "first-generation" students and aims to support them throughout their high school and college experience.
