  • About Us

The John Stanford Public Service Academy began in 2000 and is a small learning community composed of students in grades 10-12 who have an interest in exploring a potential career in the public or non profit service area. In addition to a traditional set of academic classes, students conduct intensive research into urban issues, prepare for an interactive field trip to the state legislature, participate in public service recognition week exploring potential courses of study at Seattle University, work in community service organizations and agencies, and apply lessons learned to address real community problems.
