My name is Annemarie Norman and I have created 'The Robby Fund' in honor of my brother. Robby passed away at the age of 2 from a Terminal Disease that attacks Childrens Immune and Respiratory Systems. Life expectency is 35 years old and each day a child passes away without being able to enjoy a Childhood. A simple flu can kill a child with CF. My brother spent the majority of his life in the Hospital and his last words were " Bye Bye Mommy" and then passed away in his Hospital Bed. I am an adult with CF so I know firsthand how dificult it is to live with CF
January 04,2013, I had a Radio DJ friend of mine (Gary Scott Thomas, of 95.3 KRTY) ask what my New Years Resolution was. At THAT single moment, I decided to do something to help The BAY AREA Children with Cystic Fibrosis. To raise Funds and Awareness for the 3 Childrens Hospitals CF Departments (UCSF,Lucile Packard and Oakland) who care for these children and their families
May 12,2013, I am putting on a MASSIVE Fund Motorcycle Ride/Silent Auction to raise money and get Little 'ROBBY' Bears to the Children. The ride starts in San Francisco at 9:30am and continues Southbound through Redwood City and San Jose, then Northbound to The Saddle Rack in Fremont,Ca where there will be a Silent Auction .
Along the route, there will be 'DONATION DEPOTS' (tables setup where people can purchase Robby Fund Items and Sponsor 'ROBBY' bears) at every stop.
The Silent Auction venue has been Donated by The Saddle Rack and all of the items are from Generous Sponsors
So Far, the Attendee count is up to 200 Motorcycle Riders with more to come after I start advertisements (Posters,Flyers,Email Blasts). 1077 The Bone just put the Event on their Events Calendar and Channel 2 said they will do the media coverage prior and during event.
I am a Single Mom with an extremely low income and am completely dependent on donations, sponsorship and support and I am in Desperate need of Funds PRIOR to the event to cover Novelty,Printing and Office Supplies
