BERTHA PROJECT 2
Mission
About Us
On November 9, 1938, Nazi Storm Troopers attacked Bertha Wolf's home and textile shop during Kristallnacht. She was forced to flee and, four years later, was murdered at the Sobibor Concentration Camp.
Now, 95 years later, Bertha's family is working with partners in Germany to ensure her life was not in vain. They are forming nonprofits to combat the same intolerance and antisemitism that led to her death.
The heart of our mission is restoring Bertha’s home, transforming the very place of this historical tragedy into a center for public programs that fight hatred and promote tolerance.
To make this possible, we need a volunteer to help us source and process grants. Your efforts will be crucial, directly providing the funds needed to restore Bertha’s home and launch these educational programs. Join us in turning her story of loss into a legacy of hope for the future.
