    Part of the nationally renowned Knowledge is Power Program, KIPP Chicago aims to equip students with character and academic skills to be successful in college and life. The region currently serves 1,400 students in kindergarten through eighth grade across four schools and will grow to serve 4,000 students across ten schools by 2020. Through its KIPP Through College program, KIPP Chicago supports its alumni; to date, 93% of KIPP Chicago alumni have graduated from high school and 84% have matriculated to college. Across the country, KIPP alumni earn bachelor’s degrees at five times the expected rate for students growing up in low-income communities.
