About Us

Brownsville Heritage House seeks to involve the youth and the elderly in shared cultural experiences such as film and dance presentatins, art exhibits and visting lecturers. Historical exhibits are a primary way in which we bridge the gap between generations. Annual presentation include: -Martin Luther King, Jr - Living the Dream -Black History Month -Women's History Month -Tribute to Mother Rosetta Gaston -Juneteenth Celebration -Hispanic Heritage Month -Kwanzaa We also feature ongoing exhibits on Saturdays from 2 to 5pm.

One of our most successful and continued programs has been our Saturday Art Class taught by distinguished artist, Ron Lucas, who has volunteered his expertise for many years. The art class meets from 12 - 2pm.
