Every Child, Inc. provides an array of services -- all with the goal of ensuring that children with special needs grow up in safe, loving, and lasting families. Our mission is to serve children 0-18 years old, who may have physical, learning or emotional disabilities, or special healthcare needs. Our first goal is to help build strong, self-sufficient families so that children are nurtured and secure. When children cannot grow up in their birth families, Every Child recruits, trains and prepares parents for the challenging and rewarding role of adoption. Foster parents, also prepared through the agency, provide temporary caring homes for children in transition. In addition to Birth Family Support, Foster Family Care, Special Needs Adoption, the agency provides Intensive Family-Based Mental Health Therapy, to promote successful child/family relationships-- in birth, foster, or adoptive families In addition, Every Child provides Medically-Related Wraparound services, to support families who have infants born with complex medical needs. To help children bond with their parents who are in prison or recently released, Every Child offers Kids of Incarcerated Parents.
Every Child serves the western Pennsylvania area, with an emphasis on Allegheny County.
Since services began in 1998, Every Child has helped ensure that 770 children with special needs have the families they deserve. All services are free of charge to families.
