School on Wheels

Since 1993, School on Wheels has expanded educational opportunities for students in grades K-12 who are experiencing homelessness. Our goal is to shrink the gaps in their learning and provide them with the highest level of education possible. Our program serves as a consistent support system for our students during a time of great stress and fear.

We are always seeking passionate individuals who are committed to education, equity, and making a positive impact in the lives of children by becoming volunteer tutors.

We are seeking in-person and online volunteer tutors who:

• are 18 and older
• live in California
• are comfortable commuting to an in-person location (shelter, library, coffee shop, etc.), OR are comfortable tutoring in a digital environment if selecting online tutoring
• have stable high-speed internet access
• have a computer with a webcam

To complete your application, you'll need: your availability to tutor (days of week, morning/afternoon/evening), an emergency contact (name/phone), and 2 references (name/phone/email).
