    With a focus on innovative thematic programming, SFJAZZ highlights the full spectrum of jazz: the music's legacy, with concert tributes to the masters and styles of yesteryear and screenings of historic "Jazz on Film"; the finest jazz of today, including commissions of new works and live performances showcasing the full stylistic and cultural range of jazz in the 21st century; and the future of the art form, including free jazz education programs for youth and adults as well as concerts by up-and-coming high school performers.
