  • About Us

Founded as Midwood Development Corporation in 1976, MDC is a vibrant and inclusive community of individuals working to enhance the Brooklyn community by providing respite and employment services for adults with developmental disabilities; after-school programming; housing counseling, concrete services, ESL, and services to immigrants; and support to local seniors. We also operate Project Sweep, one of New York's first programs to provide jobs and job training to teens and adults with developmental disabilities. MDC works to enhance a thriving commercial district and produces summer week-end walks and the annual Midwood Mardi Gras, now in its 45th year!
