About Us

The School of Public Health & Health Professions (SPHHP) strives to improve the health of populations, communities and individuals through disciplinary and interdisciplinary education, research and service.

The SPHHP is a leading school of public health and health professions recognized for the advantages of its academic programs that promote the understanding, prevention and treatment of disease. We strive to create an environment in which researchers, educators, public health and other health professionals and students can work together to explore problems and produce innovative solutions to the health needs of populations and individuals.

The SPHHP includes five departments (Biostatistics, Community Health & Health Behavior, Exercise & Nutrition Sciences, Rehabilitation Science, and Social & Preventive Medicine), and provides undergraduate, graduate and professional degree programs.
