  • About Us

Through commitment, inclusion and innovation, Prevention 305 works to end the dual epidemics of HIV and HIV stigma by providing access and linkage to PrEP and sexual healthcare services, while bringing knowledge and empowerment to those most vulnerable to HIV in South Florida. With programs led by the communities served, Prevention 305 addresses the high HIV incidence in Miami-Dade County by providing individuals to no- or low-cost PrEP and sexual health services through highly targeted engagement via dating apps and social media.

Prevention 305 addresses the rising HIV infection rates among Latinx immigrants and individuals of color in Florida's Miami-Dade County, linking primarily low-income gay and bisexual men of color and Latinx to HIV testing, treatment, and PrEP.

A diverse Board of Directors governs Prevention305, and staff mirror the population served; all paid staff are members of the communities we serve, including immigrants of color, transgender, and LGBTQ+ persons.

At Prevention 305, we believe that it is more productive – and respectful – to tell people what they can do rather than what the have to do. Instead, we provide the best available options for HIV and STI prevention and treatment, and provide encouragement and support for making the decision that best works for them. We provide our beneficiaries with the knowledge they need to make better sexual health decisions and provide tools to stay healthy and HIV negative, or to treat HIV.
