Nonprofit
Colorado Association of Black Professional Engineers and Scientists
Mission
CABPES dedicates itself to preparing underrepresented minority students for science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education and careers. CABPES provides mentoring and tutoring to underrepresented minority students through its afterschool STEM programs such as the Junior Engineers, Tomorrow’s Scientists (JETS) Program, Math Enrichment Program (MEP), SAT/ACT College Preparatory Program and Summer Math Boot Camp Program.
About Us
CABPES was founded in 1980 to encourage and assist traditionally underrepresented minority youth in the pursuit and attainment of career choices in STEM professions. CABPES provides a unique opportunity for underserved youth to learn from working professionals at a cost significantly lower than tutoring available at other local academic enrichment programs.
