Willow Waterhole Greenspace Conservancy is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing and protecting a unique urban greenspace in southwest Houston. Tucked away in the Westbury neighborhood just south of Meyerland, this stunning gem of nature is still relatively unknown to many Houstonians. The Willow Waterhole Greenway spans nearly 300 acres and features a network of lakes, prairie, marsh, islands, native plants, wildlife and park amenities.
Our mission is to preserve this space as a natural flood detention system while bringing the community together through conservation, education, and recreation.

Community members founded an all volunteer Board and over years of very hard work have raised enough funds to put in 8 miles of walking trails, parking spaces, a kayak/canoe launch and continue to work to maintain and improve the greenspace with tree plantings and more. This greenspace is in a less advantaged socio economic area and the transformation has served as a wonderful area for folks to enjoy nature in a safe environment. The Board is looking for an Executive Director to move us forward.
