  • Mission

All About Equine Animal Rescue's mission is to rescue and rehabilitate abused, neglected, abandoned, unwanted, and/or auction/slaughter-bound animals, primarily equines (wild and domestic); to provide animals with food, shelter, care and handling, and veterinary care, as needed; to place healthy, rehabilitated animals in compatible, loving, and permanent adoptive homes; to provide long term care for unadoptable animals; and, as resources are available, to educate the community about abused, neglected, abandoned, unwanted, and/or auction/slaughter-bound animals, primarily equines.

    About Us

All About Equine Animal Rescue (AAE) is a volunteer-based, non-profit equine rescue and rehabilitation organization located in Pilot Hill, California.

AAE was founded in 2009 as a result of the down economy and growing number of distressed and auction-bound horses. Too many horses are being transported across US borders and commercially slaughtered each year, and many more inhumanely die each year from neglect, abandonment, abuse, or improper care. Many of our horses are rescued from the slaughter pipeline to transported for prevent transport to slaughter in Canada or Mexico.

"By saving the life of one horse, we may not be changing the world, but we are changing the world for that one horse." Author unknown.
