Friends of Hudson Youth, Inc.

Friends of Hudson Youth is an all-volunteer organization that raises funds to provide ongoing support for out-of-school-time activities at the City of Hudson Department of Youth that engage girls and boys in sports, creative expression and academic enrichment, and we work to increase awareness of the essential services that the Youth Department uniquely provides. The Youth Department is a vital resource for the Hudson community, providing urgently needed childcare and recreation along with nutritional, academic, social, and emotional supports to Hudson families.

Since 2018 we have funded after-school and summer workshops at the Hudson Youth Department in art, music, literacy, sound production, videography, dance, circus arts, and environmental education, and provided equipment for a Computer Lab. The programs and facilities serve over 400 unduplicated youth annually. All Hudson Youth Department programs allow for different learning styles and abilities and everyone is treated with dignity.
