Beyond the Bars (Worker Center)

Beyond the Bars is a worker center in South Florida building the social and economic power of workers with criminal records and their families to transform the industries that rely on their labor and open new doors to industries they’ve long been excluded from. Through organizing, advocacy, education, research, support, and cross-movement solidarity, we fight for a just and thriving future.

Our work has eliminated $10 million in jail fees annually, $100 million in jail debt, and protected nearly 1 million temp workers in Florida.
