    Based in Philadelphia since we began in 1852, The Presbyterian Historical Society (PHS) is the national archives for the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and all its predecessor denominations and several ecumenical institutions. Its mission is to collect, preserve and share the history of the American Presbyterian and Reformed tradition with the church and broader community. It is a department of the Office of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church, U.S.A.

    PHS is open to the public for research and tours, serving 1,000+ visitors a year from around the world, and more than 100,000 more online.
