About Us

More than 80% of the U.S. population will experience some direct or indirect aspects of child abuse and cruelty. While there are other organizations that approach the prevention of child abuse broadly, their efforts are predominantly focused towards abuse intervention. Often, the aspect of prevention is secondary and the cycle of abuse continues. The ASPCC is here to fill the void and work both independently and with existing organizations that have a vision to prevent such incidences of child abuse and neglect from occurring. The ASPCC addresses all types of child abuse, including those predicated on environmental, economic and societal factors, which are often overlooked. Our mission is to prevent incidences of child abuse and neglect by raising awareness and educating parents, caregivers and the general public about the dangers and long-term consequences of such child cruelty.
