Mission
Vecinos Unidos makes a difference in the lives of students in grades 1-6 through homework assistance and summer enrichment programs—and has been doing so since 1997. With caring volunteers to guide them, students experience improved academic success and greater confidence in their ability to learn and achieve.
Our mission is to help children have the confidence and skills to succeed in school and beyond. We do this by providing:
Individually Tailored Educational Activities
We regularly assess our students’ abilities and provide them structured activities in math, reading, and writing that fit their needs.
A Safe, Nurturing Environment
We help students build their skills and confidence, encouraging them to challenge themselves and to ask for support when they need it.
Additional Resources to Meet Student Needs
Some of our students struggle with non-academic challenges. We provide these students with the additional support and resources they need to overcome these challenges.
