About Us
Communities In Schools of the Nation's Capital facilitates and coordinates the connection of needed community resources with schools to help young people successfully learn, stay in school and prepare for life.
We accomplish the mission by assessing the social and supportive services needs of targeted schools and brokering relationships between schools and community-based organizations in order to meet the identified needs.
Caring teams of social service providers form one-on-one relationships with students and work alongside parents, teachers and volunteers in an effort to keep young people in school.
