  • About Us

In order to help survivors of sexual violence, the Essex County Rape Care Center (ECRCC) was established in 2004 to meet the needs of victims of sexual violence in the Essex County area. The ECRCC operates a 24-hour Rape Crisis Hotline. Mobile ECRCC Advocates are dispatched around the clock to support and accompany victims through medical and legal procedures on site in hospitals, police stations, and through the court system. The ECRCC also provides professional crisis counseling as well as longer-term post-trauma therapy. In addition, the ECRCC offers an extensive public prevention and education outreach program.
