Global Women's Leadership Initiative
1300 Pennsylvania Avenue NW
The Global Women’s Leadership Initiative (GWLI) at the Wilson Center promotes networks among women political leaders, and works to mentor and train emerging women leaders in support of the goal of 50% female public servants by 2050. The Initiative provides substantive training institutes for emerging women world leaders through the Women in Public Service Project (WPSP).
The Wilson Center is the official memorial to our nation’s 28th president. More than just a collection of marble pillars and famous quotes, the Center is “a living memorial,” a gathering place for some of the best and brightest scholars and experts from around the world. Their work is the centerpiece of our activity and informs the nation’s public policy debates with nonpartisan and relevant research and information. The Center provides a strictly nonpartisan space for the worlds of policymaking and scholarship to interact. By conducting relevant and timely research and promoting dialogue from all perspectives, it works to address the critical current and emerging challenges confronting the United States and the world.
