The Southwest Seattle Historical Society owns and operates the Log House Museum, a City of Seattle Historic Landmark, located one block from Alki Beach, or sbaqʷabqs. It is within walking distance of several significant geological, cultural, and historic sites and is the home from which the SWSHS collects and shares the history of the larger Duwamish Peninsula through exhibitions, public programs, and educational tours.
