Massachusetts Avenue Project
MAP nurtures the growth of a diverse and equitable community food system to promote local economic opportunities, access to affordable, nutritious food, and social-change education. MAP currently runs two core programs: Growing Green, a youth entrepreneurial program which trains and builds garden-based businesses for neighborhood youth; and Food Ventures, a food-based micro-enterprise development program. In addition MAP also sponsors a weekly Dining Co-op, a local policy group that advocates for a more food-secure city.
