What is YMCA READS!?

YMCA READS!, in conjunction with the Florida Department of Education, is a non for profit program that provides free literacy, mentoring and tutoring, for Elementary Students. The program is designed to help students below grade level, acquire the necessary skills to become successful readers.

Opportunity

YMCA READS! at West Oaks Elementary, is looking for volunteers to serve as mentors/tutors. We are seeking enthusiastic and passionate individuals that are willing to give their time in becoming mentors to some wonderful kids.

READS! runs Monday through Thursday, 2:45 to 5:15. We only ask that volunteers commit to, at the least, 2 hours a week.
