Hospice Care of the Northwest Mission Statement

To provide dignified end-of-life care and quality services that allow our patients and families/significant others to live life richly, deeply and meaningfully for as long as it may last, and to die with dignity in the setting of their choice.

    Description

Hospice Care of the Northwest seeks to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of patients and families who are faciing a life limiting illness. We focus on life and the quality of living, while accepting the reality of death as part of life.

We provide comfort, company, and active treatment of distressing symptoms, with the patient and their family as the focus of care. Services are provided by a team of professionals and volunteers who are physician directed and nurse coordinated. Comfort and coping resources are provided to the family for up to 13 months following the death of their loved one.

It is the expectation that all employees and volunteers are strongly committed to the dignity and worth of each individual human being.
