    Rebecca Kelly Ballet brings a humanistic perspective in dance to the stage through topical choreography, featuring expressive dancers, versatile in modern and classical ballet technique. RKB’s mission is to stimulate thought and reflection, explore creativity and ideas, and to strengthen communities through participation in the arts.

    Appleby Foundation is the 501(c)3, not-for-profit, organization, founded in 1979 which operates Rebecca Kelly Ballet, a touring contemporary chamber ballet company based in New York City, and since 1987, in the Northern Adirondacks. Under the artistic direction of Rebecca Kelly, its activities focus on the creation and performance of original topical or environmentally themed ballets, as well as outreach programs including:

    Tahawus Lodge Center project, the development of a new center in upstate New York, to promote culture, community, and commerce

    Onstage the training and performance camp for rural youth offered in upstate New York, in Lake Placid, Potsdam, and Plattsburgh, since 1989.

    Kids Co-Motion early childhood, interactive, creative movement, with the goal of cultivating active listening, active play, good habits for life, toddlers to teens, since 1993. (upstate and downstate, in the NYC metro area).
