Charleston Legal Access

Charleston Legal Access is Charleston's first nonprofit law firm representing low income clients with sliding scale fees. If you make too much money to qualify for a Legal Services attorney, but you do not make enough to pay standard rates for an attorney, we are here to bridge the justice gap and give you access to legal representation.

CLA currently does not provide free legal services, but we will work at a price that those of moderate means can afford. Hourly rates are determined on an individual basis by a client's income and family size. In addition, we will do our best to connect clients to other legal resources and assist them in determining whether they qualify for free help from those sources.
