HUMAN CONNECTIONS

Human Connections' work starts with our partners - remarkable artisans, tradespeople, and organizations in Mexico’s Riviera Nayarit. We then invite travelers and students to interact with our partners through cultural day tours and immersive student programs. Through these programs, we provide a platform for local people to share their culture and have agency over their stories. These interactions are also financially rewarding for our partners, as we pay them fairly for their time, increase their sales, and provide them with capacity-building educational opportunities. Since opening our doors in 2014, HC has led over 330 tours for more than 3,800 travelers and channeled over $152,000 USD directly to our partners.

Human Connections operates as a social enterprise that generates earned income through our programs. All profits are invested back into Human Connections to deepen and expand our impact in the region. As a result, our business model and programs ensure sustainability for our organization and, most importantly, the community.
