The Life Adjustment Center started its services in January of 1993 and began to address the acute need of quality services and programs for an increasing developmentally disabled population. The commitment of LAC to its “Special Population” is manifested in its abilities to respond to the changing needs of persons with disabilities and by offering its clients an extensive array of services and technologies.
The Life Adjustment Center serves all ages and levels of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities at its Intermediate Care Facilities (IRA), Individualized Residential Alternatives (IRA), At Community Residential Habilitation, and Day Habilitation Centers.
The seminal mission of The Life Adjustment Center is to improve the quality of life for its clients and their families. This vital task is addressed by responding to the evolving needs of persons with disabilities and by providing a broad range of products and services in a changing and challenging environment.
