About Us

Amplify began in 2013 as a community response to address the critical issue of Oklahoma having the highest teen birth rate in the US. We are the first organization to holistically address adolescent sexual health using a collective impact framework in the greater Tulsa area. Our mission is to promote healthy futures for youth through advocacy, collaboration, and education to realize a vision of informed youth, healthy communities, and vibrant futures for all. We advocate for our entire community to be included in conversations about preventing teen pregnancy, reducing sexually transmitted infection (STI) rates, and encouraging healthy teen relationships. We collaborate with youth-serving organizations in the Tulsa area to advance youth sexual health and well-being within a positive youth development framework. We educate and train partner organizations, stakeholders, parents, and caregivers to expand access to medically accurate, age-appropriate sexual health and healthy relationship education in Oklahoma schools. Amplify achieves its mission by coordinating a broad range of community partners who are focused on positive relationship and health-based outcomes for youth in our community. We provide the necessary support, tools, and resources for partner organizations and caregivers to help youth make responsible and healthy decisions around their sexual and reproductive health. When teens and their parents have access to evidence-based resources designed to encourage healthy decision making, the results can significantly change those teens’ lives with long-term social and economic impact on our entire community.
