The Information Management Unit of the United Nations Secretariat is nestled between the Departments of Peace Operations and Peacebuilding and Political Affairs: what we refer to as the Peace and Security Pillar. We make sure that our colleagues across the Peace and Security Pillar have the data they need to make informed decisions on how the UN manages its peacekeeping operations, its political affairs, and even its supply chain during a global pandemic outbreak.
