Life-Skills, Inc. is a CARF accredited non-profit organization providing a wide variety of services to individuals with intellectual, developmental, and emotional disabilities. Life-Skills, Inc. was founded as Southern Worcester County Rehabilitation Center, Inc. in 1970 by local parents of disabled adults with an initial focus of providing community-based work opportunities to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
By 1973 and 1976, we opened our first day habilitation and residential program. Since that time, the organization has expanded its supports and service area to cover most of Massachusetts and parts of Connecticut. Life-Skills, Inc. provides supports to over 350 adults with disabilities in 34 programs and employs approximately 400 staff.
