About Us

The New Jersey Advocates for Aging Well (NJAAW), was founded in 1998 as the New Jersey Foundation for Aging (NJFA). A name change was announced in January of 2021 after a rebranding process. The organization is dedicated to advocacy on behalf of New Jersey’s older adult population. Our primary focus areas are advocacy, public awareness and education. NJAAW’s staff works with fellow advocates, government officials and legislative leaders to advance policies that allow everyone to age well in New Jersey. We hold an annual conference for professionals, offer additional education and public discussion opportunities such as webinars and virtual roundtables. NJAAW also produces a monthly public access TV program. The organization's mission is to provide leadership in public policy and education to enable New Jersey older adults to live with independence and dignity in their communities.
