About Us
Highlands County Habitat for Humanity is a Christian non-profit house building ministry. We build and sell houses to low and very low income families who do not qualify for a conventional loan. This is at no interest or profit. Our homeowners must have a steady income and agree to partner with us by putting in 400 hours of sweat equity towards their home. In this way we help our community by improving families' living conditions and we build relationships that cross lines of race, religion and economic status.
