A Greater Washington Fields of Dreams

A Greater Washington is a 501 (c) 3 organization dedicated to helping citizens work together across the boundaries of race, income, sector, and geography to increase the economic competitiveness and improve the quality of life in the metropolitan Washington region. An initiative of A Greater Washington, Fields of Dreams is an out-of-school time baseball skills and academic enrichment program that serves children in disadvantaged areas of Washington DC. Our program's mission is to develop the athletic, educational, nutrition, and life skills of young people in disadvantaged neighborhoods while increasing their self-esteem. The program is motivated by the belief that there is great value in combining athletic, educational, nutrition, and citizenship training in a way that connects and reinforces all four for children.
