About Us

Our Story In May 2012, students across the nation came together to form Student Voice. We started with #StuVoice Twitter chats, which reached millions of users by engaging them in student-centered discussions. Soon, presidential candidates, corporations, journalists, educators, parents and community influencers also joined the conversation, and together we began to talk about ways we could better the education environment for all.

The next step in advancing the global education conversation was creating our website,[[http:StuVoice.org|StuVoice.org]]. The site is now the hub of student content on the Internet and is where students express their ideas about education through blogs, vlogs, resources, and other organizational content. Inspired by this success, Student Voice partnered with the Asia Society, Dell, Intel and Microsoft to present Student Voice Live! last April in New York City. Conversations that were once confined to 140 characters blossomed into meaningful exchanges between stakeholders in the education community and beyond. With satellite events in dozens of countries on six continents, the desire for student voice and student action took new heights on a global scale.

Started from the bottom Now a 501(c)3 not-for-profit, Student Voice is pioneering the way toward global education reform. We help students build their brands, grow their networks and share ideas to support each other through global collaboration. We are organizing a way for change, but we need your voice to help.
