VIP creates sustainable, meaningful mentoring relationships for children in the state of Michigan, especially the City of Detroit, whose difficult circumstances seriously compromise their opportunities to succeed. Mentoring relationships are created early in the child’s life and are supported long-term in order to prevent and curb behaviors that could lead to the child’s involvement with the judicial system
