Rio Muchacho Organic Farm

Rio Muchacho Organic farm is dedicated to sustainable farming and Permaculture. It is a working model that focuses on education, ecotourism and community development. The farm produces crops for self sufficiency and for sale, and demonstrates alternative energy, (solar & biogas ) recycling systems, paper, organic waste and water. Out reach projects inlclude : Environmental Primary School, Ecopaper ( ethical small business ) ecoschools program in Bahia Ecocity ( involving 12 primary schools ) The farm offers 1 month courses in Organic Agriculture and Permaculture(in English ) and other programs including cultural exchange, spanish language, 3 day tour, volunteer programs for individuals and groups, community training in food security, rural tourism etc. The farm has ecotourism and Organic Certification.
