  • About Us

    The Fair was founded in 1983 by Miami Dade College and community partners and has evolved to an international literary event to be enjoyed by people of all ages. MBFI is the largest and finest literary event in the country which annually hosts over 350 authors, 200 exhibitors and more than 350,000 attendees. The eight-day event occurs every November and consists of Festival of Authors, International Village, Street Fair, Children’s Alley and much more. In 2002, the Fair became part of MDC’s Florida Center for the Literary Arts, a cultural and academic initiative that promotes the advancement and appreciation of literature.
