Music 4 Kidz

What is Music 4 Kidz? Music 4 Kidz is a community service project that creates CDs for children who are in the hospital. Music 4 Kidz gives students the opportunity to donate their favorite songs to entertain hospitalized children.

How does Music 4 Kidz work? First, students and teachers develop an interest in Music 4 Kidz from one of the numerous listings on volunteer databases like volunteermatch.org, dosomething.org, and volunteersolutions.org. Next, students are given the opportunity to donate $1 or more to be used to purchase their favorite song or songs. Once the songs are purchased on iTunes Music Store, they are burned once and compiled into an assortment of CDs. At the same time, students are also given the opportunity to design album covers. Finally, the CDs are donated to local hospitals so that children staying in the hospital can listen to them.

Who does Music 4 Kidz benefit? Music 4 Kidz helps children in the hospital. Currently, Music 4 Kidz supports the Baystate Children's Hospital in Springfield, Massachusetts, Connecticut Children’s Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut, and Phoenix Children’s Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. Music 4 Kidz donates to a children’s hospital designated by the donating school.

When and where does Music 4 Kidz occur? Music 4 Kidz donates year round and can be performed at any school across the country!

Why donate to Music 4 Kidz? Music 4 Kidz is not like any other community service project. Music 4 Kidz allows children to do more than donating money. Students can personalize their donations with their artistic talents along with their interest in music. Plus, students help kids that are their age that live in their area.
