Bay Area Wilderness Training creates opportunities for urban youth to experience the wilderness first hand.
About Us
Bay Area Wilderness Training trains youth service workers and classroom teachers to that they can lead successful overnight wilderness trips with at-risk and underprivileted youth. We then provide comprehensive support services: gear, transportation, funding, and community support - to aid them in taking their youth out on life-affirming wilderness adventures
Values: Diversity - We promote a diverse community of environmental educators. Risk - We foster the virtues of positive, calculated risk taking. Environmental Stewardship - We honor and protect the earth. Relationships: We nurture a culture of learning through relationships.
