SACO BAY TRAILS

  • Mission

Saco Bay Trails mission is to create and maintain this network of trails and to promote its acceptance and use by the public. We are an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization dedicated to creating and maintaining recreational trails in the Saco Bay Area. We envision a permanent network of free, easily accessible, well-maintained, well-marked, and well-publicized trails, which people with a broad range of abilities can use and enjoy.

    About Us

Saco Bay Trails is an all-volunteer organization. Everything we do is thanks to members, volunteers, and supporters like you who come out on the trails, join our work parties, keep up their memberships, and contribute to making the Saco Bay region a better place to live.

Our network of trails covers over 670 acres of fields, forest, and marshland with 11+ miles of trails, more than a dozen bridges that cross 5 different brooks & streams, beautiful views of the Saco River, a 20’ horsetail waterfall, a prehistoric landslide site, old-growth & rare trees, and an old slate quarry. These trails are all maintained by volunteers, there is something for everyone!
