Cambridge Nursery School

Cambridge Nursery School, a small parent cooperative preschool, is one of the oldest cooperatives in the country. The school provides a rich play environment in a warm, nurturing atmosphere. We strive to create experiences that inspire children to be creative and curious, feel confident in their abilities and eager to explore new challenges, develop trusting relationships with adults and other children, and develop their language and problem solving abilities.

As a parent cooperative, we are committed to working with parents and teachers to provide a positive school experience for every child. Together we create a community of support for children and their families. Parents help in the classrooms and are vital to every aspect of the program.

Nestled among tall trees on a quiet street, CNS is located in the Avon Hill neighborhood of North Cambridge. In addition to its warm, comfortable classrooms, CNS students enjoy the school's shaded outdoor play yard.
