    About Us

Guadalupe School’s Adult Education program has been in existence since 1966 and continues to be one of the top performing adult education programs in the state. This program provides English as a Second Language classes on a year-round basis. To overcome common barriers to adult education, childcare, limited transportation and light snacks are provided. While many of our adult students are from Mexico and South/Central America, we provide services to students from all countries and language groups The majority of our adult learners are between the ages of 25-44. Guadalupe’s Adult Education program is uniquely structured so that students are placed in small, instructional groups taught by volunteer tutors. A staff of 8 write curriculum for each small group and oversee all instruction that occurs. In addition to English language instruction, citizenship classes are offered along with computer classes and Computer Assisted Language Learning.
