What we do

Given a growing burden of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in Nigeria, creating awareness and educating the public on the risk factors, prevention and multi-disciplinary of this class of diseases is imperative. A general awareness programme aimed at educating the general public about physiotherapy and its role in the prevention and management of non-communicable diseases. Paws Initiative also targets high school students encouraging them to participate in safe physical activity and also engages adult within the private sector and through religious bodies while promoting physiotherapy as a career to senior high school students. Outreaches are conducted among those groups of people. The social media is also utilised to get the attention of young adults by disseminating information through blogging on the organisation's website, sharing posts on social media platforms specifically Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
